Dave Schultz

Dave winning his second Wally

Dave is a retired businessman, who married his wife Deb in the 70s, shortly after fulfilling his Military Contact.  He is the father of five and grandfather of three – with plenty more grandchildren expected in the future.

His drag racing started in the early 70s while in the military, but was paused for a couple of decades to focus on family and business. Shortly after retiring, Dave bought a  couple of doorslammers and started drag racing again. When his eldest son was 15, he indicated an interest in drag racing – and so Dave built him a race car, they both obtained their Race License, and they started racing together as a team on a National circuit. Dave raced in Nostalgia Super Stock and initially his son in Nostalgia Muscle Car – until 2010, when he also started racing Nostalgia Super Stock.

Dave has won many National races and Awards, including a pair of Wallys, NMCA Ambassador of the year, and the Champion Ring for winning the 2014 Points Championship.

At the end of 2015, Dave’s son left the team to pursue other interests. After better than ten years of running a National Circuit for Championships, Dave took the second half of the 2016 season off for personal reasons. However, he will be back with a vengeance for 2017, as he competes in both the NMCA and the SHRA Championships.
