Texas
Whale

Texas Whale is a future
NSS (Nostalgia Super Stock) project that is moving along nicely.
The goal is for it to be the most unusual NSS car ever when it
makes it's NSS racing debut in Feb 2006.
1960 is
the earliest Plymouth allowed to race in NSS -- and the only one with
fins. Despite never seeing another 60 Plymouth in NSS, we wanted
to make it stranger yet by using a wagon.
The body work has
been done -- except for making the fiberglass tailgate and hood,
fenders and bumpers, and the Lexan replacing glass.
It will be back-halved, and
a very potent Keith Black 493CI motor installed with a
Cope
Racing Transmission. The plans are to
alternate every other year racing this car and Rude Dodge. Rude
Dodge in the odd years and Texas Whale in the even years. Below
are a couple progress photos. Click the small photo to see the
larger one.
